Commonwealth began impact investing in Tampa in 2021. This page features the COhatch expansion across the city as well as summary of our active investments, events and related projects.
In May 2023, Commonwealth sponsored the Tampa Innovation Summit in Tampa’s Uptown Innovation District. The Summit featured workshops, general sessions, and a shark-tank style pitch competition.
In July 2021, MEI and Commonwealth hosted the third annual MEI Pitch Competition and Showcase, in which five amazing Florida-based entrepreneurs pitched their companies to a panel of judges for a change at $350,000 of investment capital.
Commonwealth’s think tank partner, Sagamore Institute, produces research and consulting services to advance innovative ideas, strengthen social enterprise and create leading measures to evaluate social impact.
Tony Dungy’s All Pro Dad organization commissioned Sagamore Institute to prepare a report on better serving the state’s foster youth in the K-12 educational system.
